Elten Logistic Systems is proud to showcase our custom-designed Automated Liquid Ice Container System, engineered specifically for Colruyt in Belgium. This state-of-the-art system streamlines the transportation of frozen products to Colruyt stores, ensuring efficiency and reliability in cold chain logistics.

Key Features

• Automated Transport System: Our innovative transport solution seamlessly moves containers through various stages of filling and storage.
• Eltrack Transport Technology: Utilizing the Eltrack system, containers are efficiently transported to a chilled environment where they are prepped for product filling.
• Automatic Filling Station: At the heart of our system, the automatic filling station rapidly and accurately injects liquid ice into containers, crucial for maintaining optimal product temperature.

Process Overview

• Container Handling: Using a forklift, empty containers are positioned into one of six designated infeed lanes, each equipped with green lighting for go/no-go status indication.
• Cold Area Transportation: The containers are moved into a 2°C area, where they are aligned with the filling station.
• Filling and Sealing: The automatic filling station injects the predetermined amount of liquid ice. Once filled, the containers weigh approximately 580 kg.
• Orientation and Pickup: A turntable adjusts the container orientation for pickup by the T-car, which then transports them to the outfeed lanes.
• Quality Control: Containers undergo a thorough check. Any with incorrect fillings are redirected to a reject lane for further inspection by operators.

Final Steps

Filled containers are stored in the buffer zone before being loaded onto forklifts for distribution. This process is marked complete once a green light indicates readiness.
