Elten Logistic Systems is proud to introduce our innovative automated roll cage handling solutions, developed for one of the largest food retail chains in Belgium. This state-of-the-art warehouse automation system enhances the efficiency of supply chain operations, ensuring a smooth and reliable process for handling roll cages and beverage crates.
Our system begins with an empty roll cage buffer, where an operator easily loads up to eight nested roll cages at the ground floor. These roll cages are then automatically transferred to the first level via our high-performance roll cage lift, which seamlessly integrates with the warehouse system. Once on the first level, an advanced T-car system moves the cages into a buffer lane, ready for further processing.
At the end of the lane, roll cages are transported back to ground level, where our patented roll cage opener unfolds and assembles each cage individually. The cages are then placed onto slave pallets for further handling.
In addition to roll cages, Elten implemented two automated beer crate and beverage loader systems. Our solution organizes crates into the correct sequence before a clamp unit gently places them on the modular conveyor belt. Stacking is performed automatically, ensuring that once the stack is complete, it is delivered to the ground floor for easy loading into roll cages.
Once the loaded roll cages are prepared, they are pushed from the slave pallet onto a chain conveyor. The system includes a lowering lift and turntable that rotates the cages for proper alignment before being transported to designated buffer lanes, ready for final warehouse distribution via electric pallet trucks.
