Some time ago we received the challenging order to develop destackers for nine types of crates with different dimensions and very high weights.
The crates are different in height, are different in ground surface – both 600x400 and 300x400 – and have a variety of application points. Also, there are fixed crates as well as folding crates. The machines should be suitable for high capacities of 1,800 crates per hour and for high weights of 250 kg per stack. Another requirement was the insensitivity of the destacker to damaged crates and the lack of ribs. These requirements, combined with our experiences with probably weak crates and high unstable stacks, clearly posed a challenge even to us.
After some research and development work, we have developed a universal concept with a universal gripper based on an earlier development.
This machine is specifically designed for high loads and can de-stack and stack a wide variety of crates without conversion. The robust machine has a long service life with low maintenance costs, and the electric power unit ensures low energy costs, so the total operating costs are minimal. The machine has been tested in our workshop and accepted by our customer without any complaints.
